It got me thinking how much I love ungulates, but never find the opportunity to draw them. So since my campus had a rare snow day, I took the opportunity to draw this, featuring one of my favorite hoofed critters, a Gemsbok. Wasn’t really aiming for anything in particular, just a smooth, serene landscape. Deserts have always been beautiful to me, especially at night with the moon on the sand and a palette of gorgeous colors. The landscape artist in me glees. Overall I ended up not being terribly satisfied with it but I felt it’s decent enough to put on my Youtube – and a good video to break up the “cats and dogs” theme. On a related note – please do not send me comments/PMs asking where I’ve gone or have I left or why I won’t upload more. I am a college student. I am busy. Youtube is a hobby, not my life. Real life, my friends, and other hobbies will always come first. I’m not holding out on you all, I just honestly don’t have time to work on anything. Here are instructions for constructing and flying a tissue paper hot air balloon. It takes a few hours to make. Pick a calm, dry day to fly it. WARNING: Flying requires a heat source of open flame. Two people are required to steady and launch the balloon. Watch out for overhead obstructions like trees, telephone poles and wires. Rain, wet grass, puddles, etc. will ruin the tissue.
